Clarion safety labels are actually a composite of compatible premium quality material layers, each with a distinct function.
The illustration below shows the material components used in the production of our standard safety labels.
The backing layer peels off to expose the premium quality 3M adhesive. The pressure sensitive adhesive forms a bond
with your product's surface. This adhesive is one of the finest adhesives available - it has 3M's highest combined rating
for adhesion to BOTH low and high energy surfaces (e.g. both plastic and metal surfaces including powder coated
painted surfaces!) Long term adhesion is a critical factor for equipment safety labels and at Clarion we strongly believe that
the additional cost of this premium 3M material is worth the benefit of improved long-term adhesion. Clarion is one of the
largest purchasers of this 3M material in the world. When comparing pricing with other label vendors, keep in mind the
materials Clarion is using. Other safety labels may look the same, but are not!
The 3M top-of-the-line polyester base material (Click here for data sheet) is the layer
on which the image is printed. The color image adheres to the special top-coating applied to the 3M polyester base
material. Because Clarion's President is Chair of the ANSI Z535.1 Safety Color Code standard, you can be assured that Clarion's
labels fall within the tight color tolerance boundaries set by the U.S. and ISO standards. The 3M overlaminate layer
(Click here for data sheet) is bonded to the safety labels' top surface to help protect
the image from solvents, cleaning, and abrasion.
The premium quality 3M materials used for the production of Clarion's standard polyester safety labels are UL®
approved and are rated for use from -40°F to +300°F (-40°C to +150°C). This combination of polyester materials also provides a
high degree of resistance to chemical attack.

Order Quantities
There are several factors to consider when defining the quantities to order for each of your safety labels.
Various viewing positions and distances may require you to place several of the same label on the product.
All Clarion safety labels are shipped in high quality 4 mil. zip-locked sealed bags for improved storage.
The high-quality permanent pressure-sensitive adhesives used on our labels will yield best results if the
labels are applied within the first year of manufacture. Therefore, for optimum results, we recommend
that you order no more than a two-year inventory.
Reorder Numbers
Each of Clarion's safety labels has a reorder number printed on it so you can easily implement reorder
procedures. The reorder number on the lower right corner indicates the design number and size
specification. Clarion highly recommends that you include all of your product's safety labels in your
parts catalogs and operation manuals along with clear label maintenance and replacement instructions.
In the event that any safety labels becomes illegible, your customers will then be able to order
replacement safety labels from your parts department.
Free Safety Label Application Tools
At Clarion, we want you to obtain the longest service life from the safety labels you purchase from us. As
an extra service to our customers, we include free application squeegees and protective squeegee sleeves
with every first-time order. To enable easy, optimum application,
easy-to-follow instructions for surface preparation and safety label application are also provided. To order
