During the production of safety labels for machine manufacturers Clarion is often asked to produce Emergency Stop Legend Plates. Now we are offering the most common sizes of these background plates as standard items. Note that you can still order customized plates from Clarion with different wording or different dimensions.

Use these high quality velvet Lexan^® laminated legend plates to clearly mark your equipment's emergency stop buttons. Clarion standard legend plates are offered in three outer dimensions with your choice of hole size to fit either the standard 22mm or 30mm switch sizes offered by Allen Bradley, Square D, EAO and other E-Stop switch manufacturers.

These plates have been designed for you to meet the following standards:

EN 60204 Safety of Machinery – Electrical equipment of machines – Part 1: General Requirements, Section 10.7.4 Actuators

"Actuators of emergency stop devices shall be coloured RED. The background immediately around the device actuator shall be coloured YELLOW. The actuator of a push-button operated emergency operation device shall be of the palm or mushroom head type."

NFPA 79 Electrical Standard for Industrial Machinery, Section 13.2.3

"Actuators of emergency stop devices shall be colored RED. The background immediately around the device actuator shall be colored YELLOW. The actuator of a pushbutton-operated device shall be of the palm or mushroom-head type."
