For all questions on safety labeling standards, click here.

Where can I get a copy of the current ANSI Z535 / ISO 3864 standard?
Go to the Standards FAQ to find out. Information about ANSI Z535 and ISO 3864 can be found on our website at our Labeling Standards FAQ page.

Where can I find information on your pricing?
Click here to view our pricing page or click on the view spec sheet & pricing button whenever labels are displayed.

What is the minimum quantity I have to order?
This depends on the size of the safety label. View our price list or view a spec sheet on any safety label in our online catalog.

What turnaround time should I expect / When can I expect my ordered safety labels?
In-stock items ship same day when orders are placed before 2pm EST. Out-of-stock items generally ship within 5 business days. Go to Why Choose Clarion? for more information.

Why do some of your safety labels have black text on a white background, while others have white text on a black background?
The ANSI Z535.4 and ISO 3864 standards have different requirements. Go to the Standards FAQ on black and white backgrounds for more details.

Where can I get information on your material specs?
Clarion standard labels are composed of premium materials. For more information about our standard labels, go to About Our Safety Labels . For more information about our other materials, go to Customization Capabilities.

My safety label has to be able to withstand extreme conditions. Can you help me?
Our "standard" material is a 3M white polyester that is rated to 300°F! This is really an exceptional material. Heat resistance has as much to do with the adhesive as it does the base material when you get up into temperatures over 200°F. Vinyl and polycarbonate safety labels are typically rated to 180°F. If you need to have safety labels that resist over 300°F, ask us about our anodized aluminum plates with a 3M adhesive that can withstand even higher temperatures. Other materials can also be ordered including aluminum and stainless steel plates.

What is a 'harmonized' safety label format?
Harmonized labels incorporate one or more ISO-formatted symbols in the symbol panel(s) of an ANSI Z535.4 label. For more information, click here.

How will the Clarion harmonized label design change to incorporate the new ISO 3864-2 standard?

Effective November 1st, 2004, Clarion Safety Systems (Clarion) will update all harmonized safety label signal word (DANGER, WARNING, and CAUTION) designs to automatically incorporate the new standard – Graphical symbols – safety colours and safety signs – Part 2: design principles for product safety labels. Please refer to the illustration below for examples of the new designs. All "non-harmonized" designs will remain the same.
